Navigation call consent

What to know before a navigation call.

MedsenX nurses reach patients by phone or video. Calls have limits that differ from in-person care, and you can stop at any time.

Pilot version · October 22, 2026

01

Nature of the call

A MedsenX registered nurse will confirm who you are, go over the instructions your care team already gave in Kreyòl, check that you understood them, and agree one next step with you. The nurse may decide a call is not enough and point you back to your care team or to in-person care.

02

What the nurse will not do

The nurse does not diagnose, prescribe, change your medicines or instructions, or replace your treating professionals. Clinical questions go back to the team that is treating you.

03

Technology and privacy

Phone and video connections can fail, and people near you may overhear. Choose a private place and tell the nurse if you cannot hear well. Calls are not recorded. Family members join only when you agree.

04

Emergencies and your choice

MedsenX is not an emergency service. For severe symptoms or immediate danger, contact local emergency services. You may refuse or stop navigation at any time without losing the right to seek care elsewhere, and you may withdraw your consent to reporting back to your care team.

05

When you consent

By agreeing to navigation, with your care team or with the nurse on the first call, you confirm that you understand what the calls are, their limits, and how your next step and its outcome may be shared with the team that referred you.
